  1. Isn’t Regatta heading toward Alaska Season now? We are in Sacramento area and here are a few we shot last night in our backyard about 11:00 p.m. Mauibabes
  2. Bed is a dream. In fact, have purchased two for our home. They come on Sale from the O Website a couple times a year. I think I got one on a 4th of July Sale. I am sure there are posters who can better recall the Sale dates. The sheet package with the 1000 thread count sheets are wonderful. Just wait til you fall into bed that first night on an O cruise, you will understand. Mauibabes
  3. @1985rz1 @Vineyard View Oops, meant to reply to VV’s comment. Sorry All. Mauibabes
  4. @MEFIowa Not MOON OVER Miami? OK, a “Reach”. Have not convinced them to stop smoking. Really wonderful people and my DW loves taking classes from him when the itinerary permits. We met their son and daughter a few years back, son was off to flight school and daughter on the modeling runways in Europe and NYC for all the major Design Houses. Delightful people to have dinner with too when available. he did say they were going to be doing some of the Asian itineraries next Spring and will also be on board for half of the 2025 Alaska Season. I am looking forward to seeing some of his Alaskan paintings. Mauibabes
  5. @caribdvr So you do understand, the PH3 was the top of the Up to 4 Level Upgrade Sale and the PH1 and 2 were Full Price and not available. All the Sales are availability driven and a butts in seats game. We love the PH’s, 1,2, and 3. My dream sale would be when that Upgrade Sale hits, how do I get an Oceania Suite because that is a Big Jump 💰. Just dreaming and we do enjoy O. Mauibabes
  6. @clo Fully understood. Years ago I would have said the same thing but as we grow more “mature” and we have fewer cruises left to be taken, then each must be memorable. OMG, I even paid for Biz Class 🤪💰🤬, ONCE! Enjoy, Mauibabes
  7. @1985rz1 The simple answer is NO but I can assure you, your Butler will get you more reservations just because “they can” 🙏, they have friends in the Specialties. If there is availability that night, they can accommodate your request if you can be flexible on time and sharing tables. If you want it to be ONLY Two Tops, it is a bigger challenge. My experience has been that we eat 50-60% of our dinners in a Specialty restaurant on any cruise and that is without our Butler serving us dinner in our room. Your Butler can take good care of you 🤪. Enjoy, Mauibabes
  8. Only $700 delta between A-1 and PH-3, in my household, that is called a NO BRAINER. Happy Wife, Happy Life ❤️😇👍 For a room 50% larger, a Walk In Closet, exceptional service, a chance to interact with some very special Butler’s and all the benefits, and early Specialty dinner reservations, that Oceania 800 number is on Speed Dial. Again, my house and our short story. I was on the phone to our Financial Guy and an offer from O popped into my In Box. Of course I can multi task 😇, and opened it. I immediately laughed because it was from O offering to upgrade us from a PH to an Owners Suite for our cruise on Regatta in Alaska. I hung up on the financial guy, called to my wife about this great joke we just got from Oceania. For only $2000 per person we could move up to an Owners Suite. Her reply, Why aren’t you on the phone calling Oceania! I got my marching orders 😇👍 Moral of the story, your DW, Partner, Significant Other or whomever will appreciate you even more with that magnanimous upgrade action. JMHO. Enjoy, Mauibabes
  9. @caribdvr Look on line for the Deck Plans for Riviera. The 50% extra space is nice and makes splitting the bed easier for two people. PH3, just farther forward or aft if you are lucky you can get a PH3 next to a PH2 and you would never know the difference. We are sailing Riviera in November with Houston cousins and friends and again next April from Japan and she is a favorite ship for us due to the Culinary Center and Artists Loft availability. Love the Artist in Residence, especially Graham and Shuna. Enjoy, Mauibabes
  10. Just call the Reservation 800 Number and ask the Rep who answers, they have all the ship plans. That room is full forward, motion of the ocean bother you? We have been in rooms just forward of the front elevators and did not have issues but in rough seas you can get some “Motion”. It is the up/down and side to side all at once that makes things interesting. Mauibabes
  11. We have been across the hall from a Lounge before and while there are people entering and exiting, it is not normally noisy. the TV does’t blare and is actually on an inside cabinet wall so there is no noise thru the side walls as mentioned by others posting about TV and voice noise. Definitely it above the Stage. You better grab it before it’s gone and you can get on a waitlist to move to a better location yet if it concerns you. Mauibabes
  12. We have taken the tours offered on board by O as they offer a Miami tour with baggage stored and drop at an airport. Last time it was about $69 I think. Luggage is stored in a truck and you get it back before heading to the airport of choice. That tour is not on your Excursion offerings, done on board thru Destinations. I am sure you can arrange other private tours as well. Mauibabes
  13. I have used my bags as well as done my own laundry. The bags are washed and Folded, not pressed or returned on hangers, etc. you pay for those services. Send out anything that does not need ironing because it will come back wrinkled in the bag. If I have sent out shirts and pants, I know I will take them back to the laundry to iron them. Casual daytime clothes are great bag material, IMHO. Mauibabes
  14. OK, I will throw out a few random likes. Jacques, Dover Sole, Sea Bass in Puff Pastry for 2 (takes 30 minutes plus’s to cook) crepes and the Pumpkin Soup. Toscana, Bread basket and Olive Oil and Balsamic trolly, Lasagne, an Italian Chef and their nightly Specials and many others that have been mentioned. Polo, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, always order beef dishes Medium Rare unless you like Rare, ask for the various sauces for the steaks GDR, Jacques Chicken when we need a break from the rich meals. Ember, had several excellent meals, definitely go for the Chocolate Brownie. Deserts, just keep ordering Quartets and Quintets or anything else to find what you enjoy. Enjoy, Mauibabes
  15. My experience on B2B or Grand Voyages, and we were in a PH, I was allowed to book a first round of reservations and then could pick up the others once on board so the rest of the guests were given an opportunity to book some Specialty reservations. We were in a PH so we were already booking 75 days out. We were at quite an advantage over others at 60 or 45 days. O wants to give everyone a chance to experience their “Finest Cuisine at Sea”. Got to share the wealth 🤪👍. Mauibabes
  16. @Techno123 Let me start this off for you under the heading of JMHO and I eat what I like and not adventurous with food. maybe we could just start with a Specific Specialty restaurant and then move on with another and another, rather than shotgun them all. I will start then with my favorite, Red Ginger and only address my MUST try items on a 10 point scale. Any Appetizer is worth a starter try, 9+ Watermelon and Duck Salad, 11 Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, 11 Rack of Lamb, 10 Teriyaki Beef (Filet Mignon), 9+ Take it away CC posters 🤪👍 Mauibabes
  17. Yes, we have packed any and all bottles. So if you want to be absolutely certain you can have a preferred bottle of Single Malt available, order a Bon Voyage gift as well. Double your pleasure, double your fun. 🥃👍❤️ ENJOY! Mauibabes
  18. Yes, but it is not cheap and you can pack or pick up a bottle(s) of whatever you like and bring it aboard with you at Embarkation. Oceania allows this for its guests as compared to other lines. You will hear from others I am sure who bring favorites along, cases of wine, etc. Enjoy, Mauibabes
  19. Better be talking to O and not CC posters . I would be traveling with a valid Passport because without it, you are not going anywhere. Enjoy your anniversary. Mauibabes
  20. @jannray The one that works for me, if you have an issue, tell someone who can resolve it. Nothing is worse here on CC when a person comes home and complains but never gave the staff a chance to resolve it. Especially if it is a service issue or a food issue, tell them. You will also have a mid cruise survey and they DO read them. If what you ordered is not right, call the Waiter or Maitre d over and let them know so they can get you a different dish. Polo, try my DW’s favorites, Waldorf Salad, Filet Mignon, I go for the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and always order a Quartet for desert, need a taste of everything. Toscana, the bread basket is wonderful and add the Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar Trolly cart, 🤪👍, DW must have the Lasagne which can be an appetizer or entree size portion. All the Pasta is fresh and if a Chef’s Special Pasta, always great. Lots of other great entrees, especially the Dover Sole, and the beat goes on. Alaska is beautiful, dress properly because it can be warm, cool and wet, oh yes, and it will change in 10 minutes. That umbrella in your closet will get some use more than likely. Enjoy, Mauibabes
  21. Ditto for yesterday on Firefox. All good now. Actually I did not even think about switching to Safari during my FF down time, oh well. Besides, CC 24/7 is not required reading. Mauibabes
  22. I looked too because we are sailing from Tokyo on Riviera April 25. Got this off Google: Is it OK to visit Japan during Golden Week? Golden Week is one of the longest holiday periods on the Japanese calendar — many locals get time off work to enjoy the bank holidays. It's also a great time to visit Japan. Tourists can experience traditional festivals and even join in with the celebrations. sounds like winner to me. Mauibabes
  23. @janelledocb We were in 11021 and I would consider 11015 to be in a great location as ours was not noisy. You would be under the Oceania Suites so guests above and below. We have sailed in similar rooms on Marina and Riviera and they have always been great. Go and enjoy. Mauibabes
  24. I don’t really know the answer but we have heard him many times over the years and he is beyond tone deaf. Just sounds BAD so you are all Correct and he really does not have a KEY 🤪👍 JMHO, Mauibabes
  25. @BillK400 I have not been in an Oceanview Stateroom but I believe it is 45 days from Embarkation. More than likely you will not get your first choices because other higher level categories start booking up to 75 days in advance. Take whatever restaurants and times that are available and be willing to “Share” a table. When you board in August, you can stop at the Reservation Desk and see what you can do to adjust restaurants and reservation times. Also, when you are at the Reservation Desk, ask about any availability the first night in any of the Specialty restaurants. If they have anything available, they will give it to you and it WON’T count against your Specialty restaurant allocation. Good Luck and enjoy Marina after her new “Refurb” that should be starting today or soon. Mauibabes
