stanrock22 Posted June 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2018 We have teenagers and a 6 year old. Water toys are a must. How old to go on the inflatables? Food? Thanks
JohninDC Posted June 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2018 More families at Playa Mia, more teens/20's/30's at Sanchos. Food is about equal as are the water toys and taxi fares. Playa Mia offers a kiddie water park, but it's geared more for toddlers. Your call! ;)

El Gogo Posted June 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2018 At Sanchos, the water inflatables Park is $12 extra charge . At Playa Mia, it’s included with admission . Only issue is that the ones at Playa Mia requires a bit of a swim to get to from shore , whereas the ones at Sanchos is fairly close to the beach . Admission at playa mia also includes Hobie Cat boat rental and kayaks and water tricycles .
Rare Lionesss Posted June 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 16, 2018 I have mixed emotions about PlayaMia, and we have no comparison having never done Mr. Sanchos. But just a heads up about our experience. Play Mia: Pools, clean, fun, warm, relaxing. Beach massive. The men who ran the snorkeling experience were top notch...... It had to be one of the best snorkeling experiences we have done on a cruise and we have done many. Food, was lame although the buffet was long, many salads, and some food we could not figure out what it was, we just had soda, hot dogs and fries. Bathrooms were clean, but not many changing rooms or toilets, had a long to wait to get in. Would we do it again, probably not, The beach attendants that took you to the loungers that were already place in sand, dropped an umbrella and then at the end of the day, were eagerly waiting for tips..................yes we did tip. Safe travels.
