old man of the sea 1953 Posted November 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2017 The excursions available on the QM2 do not appeal. Does anyone have experience of local tour companies that they can recommended for a half day please. Not into Kayaking or 4 by 4 jeep.
tv24 Posted November 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Take the bus to Swakopmund. It's a unique and cute town, German colonial outpost in Africa.

tv24 Posted December 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Do you recall where to catch the bus? Thank you! Ricki We were on the Cunard excursion bus. We had to pay for that excursion, but it was not much since it was only transport with a stop at the dunes and a long stop in town. You could probably find info on an intercity bus by googling. bananavan Posted December 1, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Ricki That was what I was thinking of doing too. OUCH, I just looked at the price of the shore excursion. Time to check into renting a van. :) I will google the bus schedule later. Evana
