cxc362 Posted December 31, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2017 I think the answer to this is no but I’m looking for confirmation. Do Mini-Suites on the Gem have a DVD player? Thanks!
Rare Captain-John Posted December 31, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2017 Mini-suites do not have DVD players.Take some cables to hookup a laptop or something to the TV if you can?
Rare mking8288 Posted December 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2017 Your best bet is to bring a regular 10' HDMI cable (plus any laptop adapter/converter ... 6' cable might be too short; and hook up direct to the side HDMI input source on the HDTV monitor in your stateroom. Or, playback directly from the laptop if screen is reasonably sized ... 15" plus) coupled with a bluetooth speaker for better sound. A mini-suite on the Gem, like other ships, is simply an oversized balcony, nothing special ... DVD players are becoming obsolete these days. Full suite/Haven guests have access to a free collection of about 60 PPV videos of fairly recent times - not for mini's, however.

nyc511 Posted January 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2018 I tried hooking up my laptop to the TV in the past with poor results. First, access to the USB slots is not easy - TV is fixed in place. On the one occasion I was able to get my chubby hands back there and hook up the cable, the video only partially worked.
