You Know You're a Cruise Addict When . . .

I'm sure others have probably done this before with their ideas, but here’s mine.

YOU KNOW YOU’RE A CRUISE ADDICT WHEN:

You know exactly how much your suitcase weighs by just picking it up.

You get a secret thrill when packing your suitcase and realize there’s extra room to put more clothing in.

You can’t pass the travel size aisle in your local Walmart without buying something.

You have the Sea Pass Card “ding” as your email alert.

You walk on the ship and you hear the words “Welcome aboard Mr./Mrs. __________.

You see 25 people waiting in line for the elevator and you instinctively know who will cut in line.

You expect multi-course meals at each meal.

You have perfected a way to eliminate the towels covering the pool chair you wanted that has been since 7:00 a.m.

You look forward to hearing the “woosh” of the flushed toilet and wonder why it doesn't "woosh"at home.

You don’t complain any longer about 1 ply toilet paper.

You want to slap the person who cut in front of you at the Windjammer.

You have accepted the fact that the person in front of you didn’t use the Purell Machine and is touching the utensils before you.

You are accustomed to seeing “cruise rage” (much like road rage), when leaving the entertainment venues and expect it.

You believe Purell has become your new perfume/body lotion.

You know how to construct all the towels animals and make them the week before your cruise.

You accept the taste of ship board coffee a being good.

You have the dining room menu memorized and replicate it your first week back home.

Feel free to add more to the list.

GUILTY of both of these ;)

- people at your workplace who you barely know send you emails or just come up and ask "so have you been on ______ ship yet?"

- when people say "WHAT you aren't going on a cruise this winter" or "you're going on ANOTHER cruise"

- you know that night 1 you will have the Videlia onion tart, pan fried pork medallions and vanilla ice cream for dinner... (Haven't sailed new menu yet lol)

My kids say I need the twelve step program

Step 1 research next cruise

Step 2 book cruise while on cruise next week

Step 3 research other cruise

Step 4 book that cruise while on cruise the following week

Step 5 research ports for next cruise

Step 6 research shore excursions for next cruise

Step 7 research ports for following cruise

Step 8 research shore excursions

Step 9 assign kids homework regarding cruising

Step 10 make sure your chart for price drops has been kept updated and your obc is correct

Step 11 board next cruise

Step 12 board following cruise

Lol by the way they say the way they know I am addicted is we were watching a special on Oasis and I was able to tell them staff names before the tv said them.... Uh oh lol by the way I am refusing to follow any twelve step program but my own....:D

When you keep checking to see when next year's schedule is available.

When you have more cruise and travel websites bookmarked than all other categories combined.

When the sound of a ship's horn gives you goosebumps. :)

This is really funny stuff. But, I don't get the one (above) about "cruise rage"??

When you book a cruise one day and look at the website the next day an every day afterwards to see if prices have dropped.

When the people you work with know the exact time of year you cruise.

When you don't unpack your suitcase from the last cruise even though your next cruise is over a year away.

When you save cruise compasses from every cruise you have taken.

When your computer screen saver and background at work is a picture of a cruise ship.

When you book multiple cruises a year.

When you can't stop replying to threads on Cruise Critic.

When the phone rings, you think the sea is calling.
