Unbelievable NCL POA CC meetup!!!

Norwegian Cruiseline - Pride of America - May this year.

The CC Roll Call was very small - and we got about 5 couples turn up in the ship's library .

BUT - who did turn up were ALL the Heads Of Department -ALL of them!! It was a bit embarrassing considering how few there were of us -- but 3 out of the 5 couples were longtime NCL cruisers.

Halfway through the cruise we got a knock on our cabin (outside view only) - to receive a plate of chocolate coated strawberries - compliments of the Head of Hotel. On the day before our departure, we get another knock on the cabin door - to receive a large bottle of Champagne, with Hor D'oeuvres on a cheese and fruit platter -- also compliment of the Head of Hotel!!!??? :)

We had to wonder why?? -- was it because we were part of the CC meeting, did they mistake us for someone else?? or did they just recognize "CLASS" when they saw it??? :)

Class Baz, you are pure class that is why NCL looked after you. Enjoy !!

Ncl do host a great meet & greet...I have been to many of them,it's not unusual for the Captain to attend and make a welcome speech.

Sometimes they invite the CC group for a free bridge tour and the CC meet & greet organizer can get VIP perks as a thank you.

We had over 200 at the meet & Greet on our last cruise.

What a lovely surprise.

Could it have been because you were Aussies and the ship is trying to increase its Aussie market share through word of mouth?

We're cruising in Mediterranean with NCL in September and are on the Roll Call and Meet & Mingle. Will we have such luxurious treatment as Barry? I certainly hope so, but won't be holding my breath in anticipation!

We had a similar experience on the Pearl in Alaska. We went to a special forum where they asking about the markets in other areas to where they normally cruised. We answered their questions, had some lovely snacks and free drinks.

That night we had some treats in our cabin and were upgraded to eat breakfast in the steak house. Treats every night and on the last night a free meal int he specialty restaurant.

Like you we do not know why but loved feeling special.
