FLL or POM Hotel?

We will be flying into FLL but sailing from POM. We will fly in the night before we board and are considering both options for hotels. For those who have also done this, what would you recommend and which hotels in each location would you recommend? TIA!

If you are coming in the night before and aren't planning on doing anything in Miami beyond grabbing dinner, then you'll save some money by staying near FLL. No reason to pay high prices to stay near POM if you just need a hotel room for the night.

As mentioned above, in general comparable hotels in the FLL area will be cheaper than those in downtown Miami. Easy enough to stay in the FLL area (www.sunny.org has lots of hotel and tourist info) and then Uber or shuttle to POM the morning of your cruise.

Or head straight to Miami (fewer shuttle options later in the day - focus on Uber, Lyft or taxis) and then use another uber/Lyft to get to POM the next morning.
