Dorset Boy Posted January 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Has anybody stayed in the obstructed view cabins 4079 or 4083 on deck 4. Cabin 4079 appears to be between lifeboats but obsructed by the lifeboat gantry while 4083 appears to give a reasonable view over the back of the lifeboat. Which is likely to be best for natural light and viewing weather purposes. Many thanks.
Red Ray Posted March 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2018 We are in 4083 next month so I'll report back.
Host Hattie Posted March 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2018 The Cunard website has pictures of the obstructed views https://ask.cunard.com/help/cunard/fleet/qv_obs They show the port side but you can get a good idea Just noticed that the OP was travelling in 2011 ! Red Ray Posted March 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Yes I just noticed the OP was from 7 years ago! Unfortunately the photos aren't much help as there isn't a port side mirror image of 4083. In fact does anyone know what is opposite 4083? On the deck plan it just shows a big white space.
jburton59 Posted March 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2018 There are cabins there, usually used by entertainment. Sent from my SM-J700T using Forums mobile app
PORT ROYAL Posted March 30, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2018 There are cabins there, usually used by entertainment. Sent from my SM-J700T using Forums mobile app Do not book an adjacent stateroom to a blank space. This us because "Singers", and one uses the term loosely, have the annoying need to loudly practice their scales and songs for upto 1 hour before showtime, also sometimes after. Then there are the occasional post show gatherings of the little Divas. Red Ray Posted March 30, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2018 (edited) Thanks for the replies. It's a bit late as the stateroom has been booked for 18 months. Pre show practise won't bother us but I'll keep an eye (and ear!) on any late night shenanigans! Edited March 30, 2018 by Red Ray Spelling
Red Ray Posted May 7, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 7, 2018 There are cabins there, usually used by entertainment. Sent from my SM-J700T using Forums mobile app Not so. There are no cabins opposite 4083. The area is just for crew - for instance they take the luggage through there on the night before disembarkation. 4083 was a great choice - just neighbours either side and nobody across the corridor.
