Any charge for cashing Travellers Checks onboard ?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was wondering if RCCL charged any service fee for cashing Travellers

checks at the Guest Relations desk on board. Does anyone know ?

Also, do Credit Cards charge the Foreign exchange fee for transactions

on islands such as Aruba, Curacao, St.Marteen, St.Thomas, which accept

US currency ?

TIA !

There should never be a charge for cashing a traveler's check. They are the same as cash! There is a cost to purchase them, in most cases. I've never found them to be necessary--we alway just take cash, as well. (And our credit card!)

On our last cruise we just took a feww hundred dollars in cash, mainly for the bars at the airport, drinks on the plane, the hotel bar, and oh yeah the taxi to the ship. The rest of the trip anytime we needed cash we just went to the casino and got a cash advance with our room key. Then paid the bill off when we got home.
