kubies Posted September 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2017 How close is Queen Mary to Cruise port in Long Beach? Thinking of walking but I am only good for a couple of blocks.
CruiserBruce Posted September 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2017 A quick look at Google Maps shows the side of your ship will be less than 100 yards from the stern of the Queen Mary. The round white building is the cruise terminal.

jamiski Posted September 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2017 We toured the Queen Mary a few years ago and loved it. One tip: If you haven't already check Groupon they often have a deal on whatever the current exhibit is, I believe right now it is Titanic artifacts. AZ Karaoke Girl Posted September 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Long Beach is Carnival cruise port and Queen Mary is basically in the same parking lot. It is right next to the Carnival port. If you are on any other cruiseline out of San Pedro, it is not walkable but about a 5-10 minute drive. Easy walk if you are on CCL. nans vacation Posted September 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2017 On Thanksgiving day ,We will be in Long Beach ,staying at the Best Western of long Beach, on 1725 Long Beach Blvd . Can anyone recommend a restaurant in that area where we could get Thanksgiving dinner.
SadieN Posted September 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Read the reviews carefully about that hotel. Not anywhere I'd want to be after dark. Many of the national chains will be open for Thanksgiving. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
dverzic Posted September 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 30, 2017 I stayed on it last spring and loved it. I took the haunted tour but wasn't scared to spend the night. It's not a luxury hotel, but is very interesting. I think you could walk from there to the ship, but you might want to call the Q.M. To make sure. QTPieRye Posted October 12, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 12, 2017 I am a SoCal resident and frequent Long Beach cruiser...the Queen Mary is right next door to the Carnival Cruise Terminal. Thought I'd share a couple of tips with you~ Instead of parking in the QM parking lot for $22/day or $27/day for valet, you can park over in the covered parking garage which is $17/day. Also, the morning of embarkation, you can easily walk over to the Carnival terminal... you will likely find a bellhop that is willing and eager to walk your bags for you :)
