Desert Cruisers Posted April 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Does it matter what time of year that you go to the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu? Thanks for any info.
TGBoss Posted April 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2018 We are just back from the Galapagos. (Can't answer Machu Picchu). Really liked the time of year we went. Just missed the rainy season, and the birds were actively mating and doing their mating dances. Plus the water temp was supposedly warmer than it is after June. So we were very pleased! Nebr.cruiser Posted April 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 28, 2018 We have not gone to Machu Piccho--it's on our Bucket List--but we do know someone who is from Peru. Her suggestion was summer for Machu Piccho, which was really not what I was expecting. Apparently much less rainy. (Our summer months)
kinipela35 Posted May 28, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2018 End of summer/early Fall is a nice time to visit Machu Picchu and Peru in general. Shoulder season so smaller crowds and still great weather. We went in September and had an amazing trip. It's also still dry season in the rainforest so didn't have to deal with much rain/mud or many bugs/mosquitoes.
