sergeant655 Posted May 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I am on Regal at the moment. Just wondering has anyone ever experienced a 2 hour wait for taxis as warned by princess or are they just trying to use that as a scare tactic to get you to buy their 40 dollar per person transfer
moki'smommy Posted May 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2018 When I first saw your title, my thought was that Copenhagen is a very walkable city. However, from the cruise terminal to the airport is a different matter. I've never disembarked in Copenhagen, but I did encounter a 90+ minute wait for a cab in Barcelona. The police would only allow a limited number of cabs into the terminal area and you stood and waited forever....after that experience, we started using the expensive cruise line transfers. Sorry nothing specific for Copenhagen, but they weren't lying about Barcelona. Your other option might be a pre-reserved private transport. Lori Dobson Posted May 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I was on a recent Baltic trip which disembarked in Copenhagen - when we got off the ship, there was a VERY long line for taxis - think amusement park ride style line - but it went VERY quickly. I think we were in line a total of 15 minutes. The taxis know when the ships are disembarking and they flood the port.
Rare LHT28 Posted May 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2018 it has been a few years but I think we wait about 20-30 mins if you can share a larger taxi van it may work out shorter everyone seemed to want a taxi for 2 people it was about 400 DKK to the airport
Danish viking Posted May 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I would also think that 30 minutes would be about the longest waiting time. But now I have probably jinxed it for you :p If the waiting time is to long then look for bus 25 and 27 or try to book via cruiseshuttle.dk I don't know if the ho/ho busses accept luggage but they also run frequently to Oceankaj. I saw 2 in the short time I was there last Monday and that was only with 1 shipi n port.
