Majestic Internet Speed

Has anyone been on the Majestic that can report on the internet speed. We will be cruising on her in Oct. in New Zealand & Australia .

About the same as the other Princess ships, although I think they have all been getting better over the years. Don’t expect to use Netflix, but checking email and websites was not a problem.

The latency will always be extremely high with today's technology, as there's just no way around physics of sending a signal up 22,300 miles, back down again, then sending the reply up and back down again. Anything interactive will be painful even if you're the only person using it.

On Majestic last July and the speed is like --- slow. There is only 2 computers for public use. Twice, while emailing, the signal was lost and it took about 1/2 hour before it came back on.
