Schoifmom Posted October 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2017 The last that I was informed, there was a significant lack of accessible taxis in NOLA. Does anyone have any more recent experience obtaining accessible transportation from the airport to the FQ (Hilton Riverside)? We can get an accessible airport shuttle, but that is more expensive than the taxi.

Buckimion Posted October 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2017 https://wheelchairtravel.org/new-orleans-la/ Thanks for the try, but they haven't updated that site in 2 years. Hoping for some change myself.

This is New Orleans were talking about while there is a section of Bourbon Street that is being reconstructed at the moment most of the streets in the quarter haven't had anything done to them in a hundred years. Are we talking about a wheelchair situation?

Are we talking about a wheelchair situation? No. We are needing to transport a scooter. If a person was able to transfer and had a collapsible wheelchair, taxis are so much easier :)
