Beverage package

I called alRoyal Caribbean tonight to book the deluxe beverage package and my husband doesn't drink. In order for me to get the deluxe package I had to book a royal replenishment package along with that. Does that sound right ?

Book online and don't call. I am able to book a deluxe beverage package on cruise planner for one without being forced to purchase anything else.

I just tried tonight it only allowed me to do both. I even called they won't honor a dr's note

My understanding is the new rule is for those that have cruises that span into 2018 or departures in 2018.

I just got off the Jewel of the Seas this past Monday. I was able to purchase the bev pkg just for me and not my husband on board - first day!

Does not sound right to me. The FAQ talks about the Deluxe package and other guests 21 and over.

Nolagirth is cruising next month. The new policy, that everyone over 21 in the cabin must purchase the package, takes affect after Dec. 31. We are on Freedom in Jan. and it will not allow purchase of a package for only one in the cabin.

And I don't mind buying the water package for him but the sugar drinks he can't drink. I will be paying for something he won't use

What about the specialty coffees and fresh squeezed juices? Those also come with the Refreshment (old name Replenish) package.
