cruiser123! Posted September 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2018 We are going to be doing the 11 day Italy/Greece itinerary. Does the ship get close enough to see the Almalfi Coast? Im picturing something like on the POA and the sail past Napali. https://www.ncl.com/cruises/11-day-greek-isles-and-italy-from-rome-civitavecchia-GETAWAY11CIVKOTDBVCFUJTRPIRJMKNAPLIVCIV?cruiseTour=1&autoPopulate=f&destinations=4294960640&cruiseHotel=1&numberOfGuests=4294953449&pageSize=10&ships=4294959434&cruise=1&sortBy=Featured&from=resultPage&state=undefined&sailmonths=4294941908¤tPage=1&cruiseHotelAir=1&itineraryCode=GETAWAY11CIVKOTDBVCFUJTRPIRJMKNAPLIVCIV Thanks!! Rare KeithJenner Posted September 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2018 No, you sail out of Naples and then off to your next destination. Usually a few miles from the coast. You may see some lights in the distance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MeHeartCruising Posted September 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2018 I've sailed in to and out of Naples several times and never been able to see anything of the Amalfi Coast. It is, however, quite impressive to see Mt. Vesuvius looming over metropolitan Naples, as you approach and tie up at the dock. That is the most impressive thing you'll probably notice from the ship. We also were able to see the island of Capri fairly well. But not in great detail.
