eliana Posted February 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2018 We will shortly be able to book our dining on the Voyager. Is it still correct not to book the first night as there is always room on that night and it is thus sensible to reserve later in the cruise and thus be able to dine at least twice in our preferred restaurant. flossie009 Posted February 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2018 That certainly has been our experience, albeit you will probably have to share a table to get your preferred time. The exception is short cruises (7 or 10 day) when often every night, including the first, is full with pre-reservations.

We typically book the first night and many times the dining venues are quite full. IMO, it depends on where you are embarking. If the majority of passengers have flown a long distance, there certainly could be availability since people are jet lagged and simply want to get a quick bite to eat and go to sleep. If the first night is important to you, I would make a reservation.
Winters Gate Posted February 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Is it possible to get additional reservations on Regent as it is on Oceania?
Travelcat2 Posted February 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Is it possible to get additional reservations on Regent as it is on Oceania? Generally yes - except on some 7 night cruises. You can either make reservations or stop by the dining venue to see if they have any cancellations. We once cancelled our reservation and the person in line behind us picked it up!
