La Spezia

Planning on Symphony of the Seas and one of the stops is La Spezia. I've never been to Italy and am not sure about the picture I'm seeing online when I google La Spezia. it's a really neat, quaint looking village/town that hugs the coast. Is that La Spezia or a different place you go to on an excursion.

Are you looking at Google maps? The town is midsized, on a mid sized bay, with the port clearly visible in the bay.

The image that comes up is actually of the waterfront at Portovenere 30 minutes by urban Bus P from La Spezia from Stop P in Via Garabaldi near Corso Cavour. Runs every 30 minutes at 25 & 55 past hour, takes 35 minutes to get there .

We will be doing the same cruise on the May 27th sailing. From my limited research so far, the things to do would be to visit Pisa and Lucca or Florence or Portovenere.
