Hi guys,

We're looking forward to being onboard of Celebrity Solstice for 45 nights.

I'm taking a gym programme with me and a lot of the exercises involve Squats, deadlifts etc.

When we travelled on Royal Princess, there was a Smith Machine.

Does Solstice have one?

I do not recall seeing anything like a Smith machine when I was on the Solstice. I was not looking for one, so I could have missed it.

I did a lot of lifting, but most of it was at the bars and restaurants. :D

Haha! I'm planning on doing that kind of lifting too! [emoji23]

We were on Solstice two months ago. My son and daughter used the gym quite a bit. They did weights, my wife and I did the treadmills.

I asked them and neither recall seeing a Smith machine on board.

Thank you for sharing. It looks like I'll have to amend my workout plan.

I can't wait to work out to that view :-)

I have been on all of the S-Class ships fairly recently, spent a good bit of time in the gym and unless they were added at a later time, none had a smith machine. There is not a plate loaded leg press either, in fact I don't remember any plate loaded machines at all. My guess is that a lot of people decide to use the gym who are not regular gym goers and would over estimate their abilities, put too much weight on and then get hurt. I've seen two people (separate incidences) not accustomed to a treadmill get thrown off when the speed exceeded their capabilities, in one instance breaking their nose.
