Fridges?

Are there mini fridges in the cabins on the carnival magic?

Yes, but they are not very large (a plate won't fit in them), and they just keep things kind of cool.

I bring ziplock bags to put things in there.

They may not be open upon embarkation. Sometimes the cabin steward unlocks them after he has met with you.

As mentioned by the prior poster, yes, the Magic does have mini-fridges. But besides being small and not very cold, they have mini-bar items in them. You can ask your cabin attendant to remove those items to give you more room, but whenever I have asked they said for me to do it myself. Either way, the items need to be stored in your cabin and returned to the mini-fridge before you leave. Just don't depend on the fridge to keep anything chilled, like milk.

They won't open them until after 12pm due to TX liquor laws. Be sure to let the cabin steward know you want it unlocked. I met people onboard very late in the cruise that didn't even know they had a fridge in the cabin since the cabinet that holds the fridge was always locked.
