Best way to get from Sagrada Familia to La Rambla

We plan on taking a taxi from the cruise port to Sagrada Familia but after we do our tour want to go to La Rambla. What would be the best way to get there and then back to the ship (RCL Symphony)? Thanks!

We got a taxi from the Sagrada Familia to Placa de Catalunya at the top of the Ramblas and then walked down it. While in Placa de C., I recommend a visit to the department store there, El Corte Ingles. Go to the cafeteria on the top floor for a great view over Barcelona plus a cheap cup of coffee. Check out Christopher Columbus at the far end of the Ramblas and then get a taxi back to the ship. Or there is the Port Bus, but we haven’t used that so cannot advise.

Walk to Plaza Catalonia from Sagrada is about 30-35 min

My favorite way is to walk, with a stop somewhere for a drink break ). But most would be happier to just grab a taxi.

Well, it is possible, but it would take about an hour.

Better this way (than walking to P.G.) in that it is downhill. However, over the taxi fare I would like to save my time and energy and walk around the Gothic Quarter.
