Happily@Sea Posted September 18, 2018 #51 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Glad to hear you had no problems - other than making a place to hide, Kathi. When we heard the tornado warnings, we figured you had gone to safety.

Rare Scrapnana Posted September 18, 2018 Author #54 Share Posted September 18, 2018 I have always been petrified of tornados (maybe I saw The Wizard of Oz too many times;)) and this was really the first time that I was actually scared enough to get together my important papers and make a space for myself in the closet. We had warnings for 2 hours and they kept showing videos sent into the station of the twisters and the damage (one man was killed). I was never so happy as when they announced the warnings had expired.
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 18, 2018 #55 Share Posted September 18, 2018 I have always been afraid of tornados as well. Have been too close to a few too many times.
Happily@Sea Posted September 18, 2018 #56 Share Posted September 18, 2018 We had them in Michigan - where I grew up - bad ones. I'm glad to be in Florida, where we seldom have them and they are much smaller. Of course, we also have no basements - just slabs. I don't know how people can live in Oklahoma.
