Kfoot Posted November 24, 2017 #27 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Does anyone have menus for Ji Ji's or Cucina del Capitano? If you go to Manage....My booking....under "My cruise Manager" you can find the menus under Specialty dining. The Chef Tables and Steakhouse menu is there also. fcfire23 Posted November 28, 2017 #28 Share Posted November 28, 2017 If I get the call then I will being that I'll have my cruise paid off next week. I just switched cabins from an 8th floor to the L-shaped cabin on the 7th with the over-sized balcony. I have booked one of these cabins for our Nov 2018 sailing date. Please provide an update after your cruise on what you liked and didn't like about the cabin. Thanks and I hope you have a great trip!!!

ABQrobin Posted December 5, 2017 #30 Share Posted December 5, 2017 The Steakhouse and Cucina del Capitano menus on the Carnival website are not the NEW menus just introduced this past month. There are a couple of threads with the NEW menus on them. Looks fantastic to me.
crazycruzer68 Posted December 7, 2017 #31 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Again, the Havana Bar area is great, makes it easy to avoid the crowds in the buffet area. Always seats available, nice views, as well. If you like being outside...but in the shade....there are sofas under the deck overhangs, on the second Serenity deck (the one right above the Serenity pool). I read there for hours. Yes, the comedy club layout is laughably bad. So...just plan ahead. Roll with it. Get there early & line up. We never missed a show we really wanted to see. If you get a late upsell call for an Ocean Suite....it's worth it. Enjoy the quirks! It's what makes the Sunshine special. Where is the comedy club located that makes it so bad? missquito Posted December 8, 2017 Author #32 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Where is the comedy club located that makes it so bad? Sent from my iPad using Forums Limelight lounge way to small, we were told to get there 30 minutes before, you need to get there 1 hour ahead. Just went in November and started this post, sailing her again in April out of Port Canaveral. The smoke was gross and you smell it as soon as you get on ship, my cabin was on 8th deck and still smelled. Crammed space on deck. Jiji’s was awesome, steakhouse great! No issue finding loungers, Serenity pretty but you need to go way aft for quiet.

We always hate walking through Deck 5 on ships, especially by the last day, when the smokers in the casino are creating a cloud that drifts out into hallway. But we rarely smell it anywhere else on the ship....is the Sunshine different? thanks
dizkid Posted December 8, 2017 #34 Share Posted December 8, 2017 We're sailing in March with a group of 17. 8 day cruise. Question: Which night is lobster? I want to make reservations for JiJi's, Steakhouse and maybe Chef's table, but I still want the lobster (no big deal if I miss it tho). TIA! mmb3124 Posted December 8, 2017 #35 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Where is the comedy club located that makes it so bad? Sent from my iPad using Forums The layout is just awful. Wasn't intended to be a Comedy Club, but it's what they've placed there. Quite a bit of the audience is actually wrapped around behind the stage...and has to watch the show on TV's (seriously). There's a huge line to get in...but there's also a back entrance / exit that some folks sneak in with.....or in some cases, just wander through. Again, it's probably our favorite Carnival ship.....and stuff doesn't tend to bug us. But the comedy club layout is laughably bad. But if you get there early enough, it's still a ton of fun. I'm wondering if we shouldn't just wait until we board to worry about reservations? We usually go to the steakhouse embarkation day.
tncruisergurl Posted December 9, 2017 #38 Share Posted December 9, 2017 Lunch at the Taste Bar is very good, and you can eat while trivia and such is going on. They had an extensive salad bar, soup, rolls, turkey wraps, chips and salsa, chicken fingers and 1 or 2 hot dishes. Perfect for my family! Try to sit on the sides or in the balcony in the theater vs on the floor, and be mindful of poles and sightlines. The crew is truly wonderful, they really made the trip awesome. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk I’ve never seen chips and salsa? That’s one of my favorites Sent from my iPad using Forums
