okgirl Posted February 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Are there mini fridges in the cabins on the carnival magic? Yes, but they are not very large (a plate won't fit in them), and they just keep things kind of cool. I bring ziplock bags to put things in there. They may not be open upon embarkation. Sometimes the cabin steward unlocks them after he has met with you.
nwcruiselover Posted February 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2013 As mentioned by the prior poster, yes, the Magic does have mini-fridges. But besides being small and not very cold, they have mini-bar items in them. You can ask your cabin attendant to remove those items to give you more room, but whenever I have asked they said for me to do it myself. Either way, the items need to be stored in your cabin and returned to the mini-fridge before you leave. Just don't depend on the fridge to keep anything chilled, like milk. mississauga Posted February 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Hi Janey! Say hi to Donna. Sorry for the hijack but since Janey fully answered the OP, this thread won't be here long anyways.
DebJ14 Posted February 23, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2013 They won't open them until after 12pm due to TX liquor laws. Be sure to let the cabin steward know you want it unlocked. I met people onboard very late in the cruise that didn't even know they had a fridge in the cabin since the cabinet that holds the fridge was always locked.
