Imagination Questions

Hi Fellow Cruisers, can you please assist me with two questions? My husband and I are cruising on the Imagination this September. Are dress shorts for men in the main dining room acceptable for dinner or docker pants only?

Also, is the beach just off the Pier in Catalina Island nice? Do they offer chairs/umbrellas for rent?

Any other hints or things you encountered on this ship will be appreciated!

My husband and I cruised this ship in 1997 when it was younger....and so were we!

Shorts any evening but elegant is what Carnival says but enforcement is uneven at best.

That's not a beach as Americans know the term. Your butt is on the sand that's brought in there by truck with your toes in the cold water. I don't know where one would put a chair. There is a beach off the walk path north of there past the old casino called Descanso and they have equipment to rent.

Descanso Beach on the other side of the Casino Building has chairs etc for rent. Pebble Beach is rift off the Green Pier and is pebbly.

Shorts are fine for regular nights on the Imagination. Hubby wears Khakis and a Hawaiian shirt every night of these cruises.

I will also be completely cruise casual on the Imagination starting Sunday. I will don khakis with a resort style button down shirt for Elegant Night.

I am following hoping to see more responses here. I am sailing imagination in March. My first Carnival Cruise will be in December.
