Barcelona - Restaurant Advice.

We arrive in Barcelona late on 8 Nov and sail on the 10th. We would like to have dinner on the 9th but we are looking for - and I know this sounds odd - a typically Catalonian restaurant, the sort that local people visit, not so much for tourists. We are staying at the Eurostars Gran Marina and would like to be within walking distance (up to 2km).

I know that you can't spit without hitting a restaurant in the city but, as I said, we'd like something that caters to local people. Price isn't important (well, within limits!) - we just don't want to get caught in a tourist trap. After all, what's the point of visiting somewhere for the first time and having burger and chips?

Any and all advice gratefully received.

We are spending a few post cruise days in Barcelona. We will be there for Christmas. We are staying at Eurostars Rambla. Any suggestions of a good restaurant that

is close where we can have Christmas dinner? Are reservations recommend?

Are restaurants topically open? Any advice would be welcome.
