jdwilliams1 Posted September 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2018 Very first cruise and we are wanting it to be a good one. This is a 9 day cruise and we wondered if anyone had any feedback regarding this itenerary Cape Liberty, New Jersey | Cruising | King's Wharf, Bermuda | Cruising | Philipsburg, St. Maarten| San Juan, Puerto Rico | Labadee, Haiti | Cruising | Cape Liberty, New Jersey It will be my wife and I and our 23 and 20 year old sons. Our concerns are as follows 1. Avoiding drunk rowdy crowds, hoping the 9 day trip will limit that. We don't mind a few drinks here and there just really turned off by the large conglomerates of drunks. 2. My wife being seasick. Do we want a mid low cabin? Is the 6th level low enough or considered low? She will want the balcony. 3. Itinerary for these ports 4. Hoping to stay a few days in New York when we return as I have never been there. Thank you in advance, I am hoping this will become a tradition for years to come as it seems to be a great way to see the world.
Cruising Golfer Posted September 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2018 Haven't done that itinerary, but love the ship. If you do the sixth deck, do the port side as the smoking area is on deck five starboard. Great entertainment and a very friendly crew. We loved the variety of food venues. To us where we go isn't that important. Enjoy your cruise!!!

Would this apply to the Freedom of the Seas also as we are considering a cruise for 7 days out of puerto Rico
Rare Essiesmom Posted September 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2018 The problem with your itinerary is that you only have 8 hours in Bermuda. EM
donaldsc Posted September 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2018 The problem with your itinerary is that you only have 8 hours in Bermuda. EM That is a generic cruise problem. In most cases, you have 8 hours or maybe slightly more in almost every port that you stop at. In some cases, you might have even less than 8 hours. If this is a problem, one should not cruise. leaveitallbehind Posted September 16, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2018 Never even thought about the smoking areas. thank you! Would this apply to the Freedom of the Seas also as we are considering a cruise for 7 days out of puerto Rico RCI allows smoking outdoors on one side on the pool and promenade decks, along with a section of the casino, on every one of their ships. So, yes, it would apply to Freedom as well. The only thing that may vary from ship to ship is which side is designated as the smoking side. leaveitallbehind Posted September 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2018 The problem with your itinerary is that you only have 8 hours in Bermuda. EM This itinerary would be more accurately described as an Eastern Caribbean to include a port of call in Bermuda.
