Free At Sea Shore Excursion Credit Question

I am close to booking at cruise and am heavily favoring the Excursion Credit since we have 5 ports on our trip. I tried to see what the rules are for using that credit, but all I see is that you have to call or do on board. I have a few questions on using them:

1. Can you combine them and use them on one port? Or do you have to use them all in each port

2. Can it be used for anything else onboard or just excursions?

1. No - it is a $50 PER PORT Shorex credit. Shore excursion credit is applicable for each port, including debarkation port, and is not transferable to other ports. Use the credit or lose it.

2. No - credit has no monetary value and is nonrefundable.

The good thing is if you are able to book a shore exc. for $25 or less, that tour is actually free! We did it in Fla. on a shuttle bus tour.

And if you spend 2 1/2 days in Bermuda (one port), it is $50 per day.

Yes...it still would be per person. Both do not have to go on the excursion or even take the same excursion to get their share of the credit.

Yes, we did that last year at one port when I sailed with my Mom. She took a ship-sponsored city tour using the credit and I used a private excursion company to go cave tubing.
