That will be an amazing 2 days Jilly, as they will be celebrating and winding up to the end of the cruise.

Please feel free everyone to use this thread to post any info you hearback from folks on the cruise , perhaps on blogs, or post any bridge cam pics you capture when they are in the fabulous ports of call.

Great idea David, it would be lovely to hear from someone onboard.

We're taking our son and daughter-in-law on this little cruise..... birthday present for them both this year. Plus another friend who has just turned 40 so we all bought him the cruise for his 40th. This will be his first ever cruise.:)

It's always so exciting being with someone on their first cruise, particularly the look on their face when the see the ship for the first time.

He's single so if there's any single girls out there on this little cruise, come and say hello to us.... ;)

I also know a couple that will be on board... they are also going on our world cruise.... don't know how they do it... as they have only been home for 9 days since spending nearly 2 months doing the antartica cruise on the star and touring parts of south america....

at least they have 5 weeks between this cruise and ours LOL...

This is a great cruise..pity that Korea is going to be missed...but highly recommended itinerary for anyone contemplating a longer cruise...loved it.

I wonder why ships no longer call in to Cooktown?

We did a couple of cruises on Rhapsody that did. It's a lovely little town and great people who were very welcoming.

we called in there on the Rhapsody also in 2008 but it was so hot and we were on the Dawn Princess last oct but we couldnt tender there as it was too rough

I received an email today from friends of mine who are boarding in Hong Kong, however, they have already left OZ and doing some pre-touring in Asia beforehand. They send awesome emails of their travels and keep fellow friends updated. I want to grow up to be like them LOL :p

When they get to the ship I will post snippets I think will be of interest :D

The earthquake in Japan is SHOCKING as it is unfolding now.....sigh, what the heck is happenig to the ring of fire?

that QM2 has canceled her call at Nagasaki.

Looks like Japan may be off for the Cherry Blossom cruise.

I wondered that too, but the cruise map shows it going to the southern end of Japan, and quake happened in the northern part of Japan.

I hope they don't cancel the Japan sector. But if it has to be for safety etc, then that is what they have to do.

With possible changes to the Cherry Blossom cruise, I wonder how that will affect those of us who have booked that little 2 nighter from BNE to SYD at the end of that cruise?

I dont think that will be effected as they will keep on schedule.

What ever they choose to do they should be back on the planned itinerary by then.
