Suggestion for Montreal - What to do in the morning before boarding the cruise

I am looking for suggestions on what to do or see in Montreal in the morning or early afternoon prior to boarding for the cruise. We are flying in the day before the cruise and would like to tour some in Montreal prior to boarding. thanks

Take a bus tour of the city or walk around Vieux Montreal (Old Montreal.)

If the weather is nice, I would definitely take a walk around Old Montreal. You can take a walking tour which leaves in front of the Cathedral close to the port. If you get into Montreal early enough, another worthwhile site is Mont-Royal park. The view from up there is really nice, night and day.

If the weather is not so nice, I recommend a visit to the Pointe-a-Callieres museum. It is a 10 minutes walk from the cruise ship terminal. I am not a museum fan, but I have been there several times and I have always enjoyed my visit.

there are a lot of beautiful churches in Montreal...if that would interest you

Our Lady Of Montreal Basilica...in Old Montreal

depending on where you are staying...should be easy to get around to see one of them on a weekend

as was said before Mount Royal park would be a nice hike from downtown if the weather is nice
