Ok I'll try again to do a review as our trip progresses. I won't have wifi onboard but will connect and update on the only stop that will have wifi which is Nassau.

Right now we are on the road to Florida. Our 16yr old driver is doing pretty good so far. Mom had to be stashed in the back for sake of her nerves.

We'll be staying in the Marriott Fairfield in Orlando. It is 1hr from Port Canaveral but it was free using loyalty points. The beauty of this hotel is they allow you to park for free for cruisers but no shuttle considering the distance. I checked into using Uber versus driving and parking at Port Canaveral (off port) and Uber was twice as much. So we'll drive to one of the parking vendors in Port Canaveral and they are a 5min shuttle ride to the port.

This is also the first time we booked an excursion on a site other than RCIs. We'll see how that goes. Reviews were good.

Finally, the surprise is still on. The kids still think we are going to Florida to see family. We'll break the news and take in the jubilation tomorrow morning.

Looking forward to another fun cruise. Hopefully I can provide a helpful review of the ship and stops for those interested.

In case you want to try other Marriott properies in the port area, we've stayed at both the Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral and the Courtyard in Cocoa Beach, both very nice properties. The Residence Inn has true two bedroom suites, so it can convenient for families.

Looking forward to the review.

We've done the Courtyard in Cocoa beach before. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit they had. In fact it was free too with my points, but we opted for the Fairfield for the free breakfast with the kids.

A few more shots of the hotel. I highly recommend this one if only for the newness. Breakfast is the standard continental. Nothing more to it, it does the job.

I guess 8am is late or early for breakfast on a Monday we were the only ones there for breakfast except for 3 other people.

Security and check-in was a breeze. It pays to be Platinum. Ha!

Rooms were ready since we arrived right at 1pm.

Interior Room is smaller than we are used to but we've always done OV or Balcony. But this is just enough for 2.

Off to the WJ for a late lunch. You are not really on board until you've had your first meal and drink onboard.

Our teen has already picked his activities. Awesome they schedule themselves. One down one to go and it's just adults.

We got our "Exclusive Top Tier Party" invitation waiting in the room.

Need the cabin steward. There is no mini-bar and the DW has meds that need refrigeration. Will have to ask for a ice bucket.

After WJ we headed up to the sport deck to see what activities junior could get into. Nothing going on. One other ship in port Disney Dream.

We decided to just relax before the muster drill. View from the lounge chair.

Luggage made it to room thanks to kids. They saw them in the hallway and hauled them to the room. I would never...

The stewards took care of the rest.

Our room steward is Adrian, he is hunting a mini-fridge for us. Go Adrian!!
