Vacation Countdown

Only 230 days and counting....I just started my vacation countdown for my refrigerator.

I created it in Microsoft Word and will print on a 4x6 photo size and affix this photo countdown to a 4X6 adhesive magnet purchased at Walmart.

Thats so neat!!

Will you cross out each day? Great idea. I will have to do that next time. On our last cruise, I put the # of days on my google mail calendar. That it automatically sent me a reminder each day telling how many days I had until our cruise. I like this idea because you can look at it all day long!

My cruise with hubby, sis, & BIL is Feb 7 2009!! First time cruising and first time to Hawaii. Sis & I talk almost everyday about our upcoming vacation. Our Mama passed away this past May from cancer, she told us no matter what happens girls I want you to take that trip! So in honor of mama we are going to throw petals off our balcony when the ship sails.

I love people who do this! My husband thinks I'm silly because my daughter and i are obsessed with a countdown ritual .our hangs in the kitchen and we tear a day off at the end of each day. I look at it before i leave for work in the morning. it reminds me that there is something fun worth working for.

My family thinks I am nuts, but as soon as I book a vacation, I make a chain out of construction paper, you know like the ones some people put on their Christmas tree, and I wrap it around my living room and take off a link each morning......ya I know it is a sickness:p
