Just thought I would let you know that I am going to try to get you A LOT of photos from my Noordam cruise in May..I am going to try to organize a cabin crawl just for you!:D

I am in VA7001..I have white space to the front of me..and across from me. (( perhaps officer's cabins ))

My main concern is the wind..since I am so far forward..and I love sitting outside. This was the last VA available..I originally booked a VE but didn't care for the view of the lifeboat (( and I thank you because it was your site that I glimpsed a photo of the view ))

IIRC, the aft of Dolphin Deck is crew only.

to you both Joanie and Ruth-have you heard a lot of complaints about engine noise on Rotterdam? I know some of the ships in some sections have an issue with this. Last cabin I had was a guarantee verandah which ended up to be above the public bathrooms so hoping to find something quieter for a reasonable price. Thanks for your thoughts.

I haven't been on the Rotterdam since November, '09, so my experience isn't recent.

In all the dozens of nights I've spent on the Rotterdam, I have never heard any bothersome noises, however I could sleep through the Second Coming. My experience is on the Main and Lower Promenade Decks, most of that between the forward and mid-ship elevators.

My HAL Staterooms Back Up site at: http://abqreunion2008.com/ was hit by Hackers last night and totally wiped out:mad::mad::mad:

 

I am in the process of reloading everything, so PLEASE do not panic today if you use the back up site!!

 

I will note here when everything is up and running again.

 

My apologies for this, but I have no control over jerks who decide to screw up something that we have worked so hard on:(

I'm so sorry Joanie. I don't understand why there are such jerks out there with nothing to do then sit on the internet and be distructive.

I also want to thank you for your wonderful sites. It was because of your site that I found our stateroom which is going to be 4166 on the Westerdam. We board this Sunday and I can't wait to see our huge balcony. I picked this stateroom for the balcony. I love just being on the balcony and watching the water go by. Ahhhhhhh :-)

Took all freak ing day but the Back up site is back up and running now!!

 

Hopefully my servers will be able to find out whop did this, there are always fingerp[rints (crber wise) and will catch these jerks that did this!!

Looks like some a**wipe hit you again Joanie. :mad:

 

I just tried the link and got a "hacked by XXXXXX" message (XXXXX was not the real name, but I am not going to give them the satisfaction of using the name listed).

 

I don't understand why anybody would try doing something to such a wonderful site, but you might want to make sure your database software is patched with all the latest patches. Chances are it is just some 11 year old who learned about sql injection attacks from his recess buddies and you were the victim.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I just uploaded the main index page for the back up site now and all is once again fixed. This really ticks me off, I have stronger language but............

 

Thank you for letting me know and to all who've tried to access the back up site while I was away on my cruise, I deeply apo;apologize:(

 

Apparently the Homeland Security agency thinks that this is the lead in to more cyber terrorism and they are going to hit big time in the very near future. I wish I knew what kind of steps I can take to prevent this happening again, but I am not tech savvy enough to figure it out:(

Just a heads up that as soon as hubby gets home from work today I am going to have him do a bit of research and find me 2 new servers to host my web sites on.

 

I am going to be doing 2 different servers so that if one goes down the other will always be running for back ups, which is the main reason to have one.

 

I am tired of ServerPro, TopCities and GoDaddy going down and/or being hacked!! The main ServerPro site has an Arabic Hacked message on it today and I can't even think of what these jerks have done with any info they may have been able to get:mad:

 

I apologize for the inconvenience this will cause but I am tired of this and will definitely be letting the world know about how crappy the service is with the 3 mentioned in the above paragraph!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will fill you in on the new information but I now have a new host/server with lots more goodies and super amounts of space an bandwidth:)

 

I am in the process of uploading my file to their server and all should be running at the following address sometime after midnight MST tonight. I hope you forgive my errors as I am quite loopy from my meds right now.

 

New server still has the old domain address of http://www.abqreunion2008.com and will now become the main site for everything HAL. I even paid a 12.85 per year fee to keep anyone from sneaking in a back door and attacking me that way:)

 

Will post more in the morning when I can concentraste more

Just a heads up that I have almost completed the switch to the new server, well, let me rephrase that.... I HAVE completed the switch just waiting on minor detail that will take less than 24 hours now. Hard to unlock a web site when the Server will not answer emails and phones are disconnected, so had to call the big bosses:D

 

So, with that info passed on and a much faster service with my new host, I am changing the website to reflect my abqreunion2008.com to being the MAIN HAL Staterooms/Cabins Web Site!!

Yes, Got 2 photos from you this past Saturday:)

 

I am trying to play catch up here. All the photos that came in before my cruise, during and after, including my own. Added on to the delay was my site getting hacked (and my host) and switching to a new host/server...... And one of the ones I uploaded today had 30 photos (took a while, but well worth it!!)

 

I got 4 ships 3 ships updated today alone, Nieuw Amsterdam, Ryndam and Statendam.

 

I have 7 more CC members photos to fix and upload then I can do my own:)

 

Should be all up by the end of tomorrow or Wednesday.

What I would like are photos that you find especially helpful for you. In other words, photos that YOU would have liked to see before your cruise. Interior and exterior. Carpeting, i.e. patterns, where the patterns change, artwork, anything:)
