from airport to hotel in Sydney

Hi- There are several recent threads on this. You can use the search feature, or if that's not working (common), then Google is your friend! :)

Briefly to avoid repeating other posts- train, taxi, or shuttle bus. Each is a balance of cost, time, and convenience that best meets your personal needs. Also, some options depend on which hotel.

This service sounds like a really good choice.
Only if you are prepared to put up with the biggest disadvantage, which is the possibility of a grand tour around all of Sydney's hotels en route to yours. The one time I took this, the length of time it took frustrated me so much that I just got off at a random hotel and took a cab the rest of the way.

It would cost AUD 26 for two people, according to the website. For about double that, you could get a cab straight to your own hotel from the airport (if your hotel is near Circular Quay). That would take you about 20 minutes. If you also regard 14 hours as a long flight, then this might be worthwhile.

However, is your hotel really "near the pier"? As you know from your other thread, the Leisure Inn Sydney Central is nowhere near the pier.

We always use this company. Very good service and very reliable with reasonable rates.

We paid CAD$10.60 per person for our KST booking on 20 Oct from Kingsford-Smith Airport to the Travelodge at Wentworth & Goulbourn in the CBD.

Yes a cab will cost you about AUD$40 for the trip to the CBD, and the rail service is somewhere in between the two. A lot depends on what time of the day you're arriving and the traffic congestion on the roads, commuters on the trains etc.

Early afternoon arrivals going into the CBD should be OK. On the other hand, those flights that arrive at 0 DARK 30 in the morning even with an expeditious trip thru immigration and customs will wind you up in the middle of rush hour for sure.

So if you see a few hotels before your own, you get to see more of the SYD CBD and thus are able to get your sightings for your time in the city.

Ciao for now!!!
