Insurance question, please help.

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can buy insurance from other than Carnival, and would it cover the same things. Final payment was just made and I am thinking we should have insurance. I have seen various prices, depending on who you book with.

 

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Once you are more than a couple of weeks past booking, the insurance with Carnival already doesnt cover pre existing conditions .... and you are past final payment so your choices are more and more limited.

 

Carnival's new insurance covers hurricanes, which most policies dont cover...

 

You just have to read thru each policy and decide if any fit your needs. There is also the more expensive cancel for any reason.

I have never had a policy that didn't cover hurricane. They just require that you purchase the policy prior to the storm being named and if it turns into a hurricane you are covered. Insuremy trip and squaremouth are both good places.

I have compared and purchased policies thru insuremytrip several times. I have never made a claim though, thankfully.

Always purchase thru insuremytrip.com. Luckily I have never had to make a claim. Good variety of policy choices. I always want a policy with good coverage for medical evacuation. Don't want to be stuck in a hospital in Roatan or Belize.:o

I was told up to 2 weeks before you can still add insurance.
