Rare uneamie Posted September 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2009 My husband is a devoted Poker player and is very interested in the Texas Hold em tables at the casino on the Gem. How many tables are there and are they usually full? Do you have to put your name on a waiting list or is there generally not that much of a wait? Want to get just a general idea of the way the Gem casino handles these tables....thanks!
NYcruzzer Posted September 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2009 When I was on the Gem last March there was one Hold-em table on board. They had a 1/2 no limit game everynight. Table was full and they had a waitlist if a seat became available. FYI the rake is a whopping 10% So if there is a $200.00 pot the house cut is $20.00..Land based casinos usually have a $5.00 maximum rake. If 10 people all started with $100.00 and played long enough, all $1000.00 would end up with the casino.

I think the Dawn had "two" if I am remembering right...I could be wrong. Thanks for the info..
