Does anyone have an actual picture of the aft Veranda Suite balcony of cabin A232 or A223. I cannot tell from the pictures if the balcony goes all the way across to the side of the ship and encompasses that triangle section making it double wide.

Looks like there's a balcony divider there according to the deckplan on HAL's website. I don't think it wraps around. Just a guess though because I haven't been on the Veendam since they retrofitted those cabins into the old deck plan. Happy Sailing!

The deck plans show public stairways out there, and doors that lead to internal hallways, so I'd say the verandah is just the width of the room, as shown by the heavier black lines marking the dividers between cabins. http://book.hollandamerica.com/fleet/deckPlan.do?ship=ve&deck=v&year=next

I can let you know in a few days! (We're in 223). I believe the other posters are correct, I saw a photo of the ship and it looks to be separated.

Here are some links to a photo site with some aft pictures. Its kind of hard to tell, for me. Maybe the staircase is beside the aft cabin. It almost looks like the cabin on the port side has a bigger balcony than the one on the starbord.

raskul, can you take photos of your stateroom and how things look from it for the HAL Staterooms/Cabins Page (s) please???

 

This is the reason I started the site. So we can go and look and not have to depend upon deck plans only.
