aquarion Posted October 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2009 How early can you show up at cruise port to drop off luggage? We are flying in on a red eye and would like to at least drop off luggage and then come back to board cruise ship. We are sailing out of Port of Miami but curious about all ports. caribsun Posted October 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Not sure about the port but here is a option if you are flying into MIA. Baggage Checkroom / Storage The Baggage Checkroom is located on Concourse E, Level 2 and is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Storage charges are subject to baggage size. With proper identification (e.g., driver’s license, birth certificate, passport), affidavits can be obtained for $10 at the baggage checkroom. Other services, including notary services and baggage accessories, are also available. For more information call (305) 869-1163
aquarion Posted October 18, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted October 18, 2009 I am actually flying into FLL. But even if I were flying into Miami, I would prefer to drop off the luggage at port and perhaps see the town and not go back to airport to pick luggage

cb at sea Posted October 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2009 I don't think they will accept your incoming luggage until all departing passengers have left.... How are you sightseeing? Rental car? If so, stow it in the trunk and keep it with you til you board the ship.
Cruzman Posted October 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Cruised from many US ports and in general, they will begin to take checked luggage around 10:30 AM.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 18, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2009 We have also cruised from many different ports. Until the majorityof the passengers are cleared from the luggage terminal, they will not allow anyone to drop off luggage. Most of the ports that we have been to -- usually can't drop off luggage until around 10 or 10:30.
marylandcruisers2 Posted October 19, 2009 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2009 in Baltimore if you leave say at 4pm you can board as early as 11:30 but you can not get to your room. they are still cleaning and usually the doors are closed to each hall for staff only. We love getting there early and just hanging around. Just make sure you have a bag to carry on with essentials. you may not get your luggage till later that night. getting parked and onboard in Baltimore Md is really easy and quite fun..:) I hope you enjoy your trip out of Miami
