Longhorn Cruiser Posted November 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2009 My TA just told me that Oasis will be going to Nassau on Sunday instead of Friday of these 2 cruises. Also they will be in port from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm instead of 1-7. Who wants to get up at 7 in the morning to go to the beach?
Allanrf Posted November 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Im going in the 12/26 cruise and i've just checked the itinerary and this is true. I think that will be a lost port for me...
DEIx15x8 Posted November 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I wonder why the first two aren't effected. We are on the 1/2 sailing and only plan to go into Nassau to take a horse and carriage ride. I would prefer having Nassau on the first day and end with a sea day. Looking at the port loads the 12/26 sailing shifts from a packed port day to a moderately full port day. The 12/19 sailing on the other hand is switching from a nearly empty port day to a packed one. So port capacity has nothing to do with it. Edit: I just noticed that it pushes the St. Thomas arrival time back an hour but you still leave at the same time. We have an Oasis exclusive excursion booked there that lasts the entire time we're in port. I wonder how RCCL will handle this excursion for the modified sailings. debtmkr Posted November 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I bet it is because you would be in port on Christmas day and New Years Day.

bajathree Posted November 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Sounds like an improved itinerary to me.... That Nassau stop last day of crusing at 1-7 is terrible.
Cruising89143 Posted November 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I like the Friday stop in Nassau much better. Most stores are closed on Sunday also. Especially that early.
cooncat Posted November 5, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I don't like Nassau on the last day myself. I prefer it to be a sea day since there is so much to do on the last day, especially the packing. I like to do the ports first and then relaxing the last days. I like the arrangements of the Allure better.
