Will RCI always give the lowest rate?

I have been booked on RCI/IOS since 05/05/09. I am going on the 6 night cruise leaving out of Fort Lauderdale on 01/17/10. I just saw on-line that an E1 Balcony room that I have booked is now $61 per person lower than what I paid. My cruise is paid in full through my travel agent. Can I get refunded the difference of $61 pp plus the tax? I'd love to have that money for drinks / excursions!!!!

RCCL will do the reduction but it is up to your TA. Your TA must call to get the reduction. Also the taxes are not like sales tax that changes with the amount you pay, they stay the same.

I would call asap. They will give it to you in the form of Onboard Credit.

Some port taxes have been increasing in the past year. If you get a cruisefare cut, you may trigger increased taxes.
