RevNeal Posted November 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2009 Yes, indeed. Excellent photos, which confirm that they're refitting her per the plans that I posted earlier on this board. A better job than the Veendam's, it would appear from these initial shots.

A better job than the Veendam's, it would appear from these initial shots. Wow. It's amazing to see that they completely chopped out the entire upper-aft section of the dining room as well as the last set of verandah cabins to give the ship a proper appearance. It will be interesting to see if the decor of the Dining Room changes much as a result...

As we were informed during the refit briefing given by the Hotel Manager the refit will have the end-effect of increasing the number of tables in the MDR (upper level) by enough to cover the increase in the number of passengers. casavaha Posted December 1, 2009 #8 Share Posted December 1, 2009 It is really to bad that HAL had to make mistakes on the Veendam so that the later ships would be spared the poor design of the Veendam. Only 16 more days till arrival in FLL. I am looking forward to embarking as early on Wednesday as possible. Greg

Gees what a novel idea, add enough eating area to the dinning room to accommodate the added passengers volume, now there's a thought, da!
