Junior suite help-have you stayed in one?

Recommended Posts

We are thinking of booking a Jr. suite on the Brilliance. They seem to be located directly under the pool and eating areas. Anybody stayed in one? Just wondering if there is much noise from above? Any help would be appreciated...we will be first time RCCL cruisers.
Many thanks,
Cathy

We stayed in a JS on Radiance (I think something like 1048) and in a GS on Brilliance (two doors down from the Concierge club) and never had a problem with noise from above. We did, however, stay in a JS on Enchantment and it sounded like elephants were above us. I think the newer ships are more sound resistant.

We stayed in 1578 and could hear them
moving chairs and carts and things above us.
I can't remember exactly what time it was
but it was while we were sleeping. Still,
the room was fabulous so I don't regret it
for a minute.

We stayed in a Junior Suite on Mariner in March... deck 9, room 9564. Slept like a baby, no noise at all.

Hey Island Dreamer....found you.

Could someone tell me please....the J.S. is listed as having a bathtub and shower....does the tub have a shower curtain...or glass doors?

Does the Balcony have just 2 chairs....or 2 chairs and a lounge chair?

Thanks. Just curious.

The bathtub has a shower head in it. NOT two different bathing areas. There is a curtain. I recommend bringing a few cloths pins and clipping them on the bottom of the curtain. This keeps it from blowing and clinging.

On the AOS, the balcony had two regular chairs and small table plus a chair with an ottoman attached.

Thanks Family of 14.....I would have never thought of the clothes pin idea. I just added clothes pins to my packing list. Thanks.

Believe it or not, I really like the showers on R.C. with the circle door. I am not a fan of shower curtains. So, I was a little disappointed to hear the J.S. had the bathtub. I'd rather just have the shower stall like in the other cabins. Besides, I'm very tall and can't even relax in the bathtub I have in my house....let alone the tiny tub on a cruise ship!

Thanks again for the info

Kimberly, Those clothes pins come in handy in many ways. You can also use them to clip your swimsuit out to dry on a deck chair. Just take 3-4. I use the plastic type so the water and sea spray don't bother them.
I love the tub in the JS, not for taking a bath, but for the extra room that the shower does not have. I am tall also, and would never try to relax in the tub. I have the hot tubs and whirlpool spa for that.
