Tagsalong Posted December 25, 2009 #26 Share Posted December 25, 2009 Could someone clarify I thought it was any family member living at same adress Gets same level as highest family member no age limit. My daughter age 20 lives at home has been on 6 .cruises My wife and I are diamond going on Oasis our first D cruise. 20 and 17 yr old are in our cabin . I thought they automaticaly become diamond with Us, There is no age limit. Our DS went on his first cruise with us in 2007, same address and last name, age 34, and signed up as a C&A member. Approximately one month after the cruise he got his Diamond package in the mail. He had full Diamond amenities on his second cruise in 2008. Since 20 yr old DW did her 6 cruises before you were Diamond, she and the 17 yr old will not be Diamond on this cruise but will get Diamond status after this one. Whether they have access to Diamond Lounge depends on the concierge. Hope this helps.
ribarfly Posted December 25, 2009 #27 Share Posted December 25, 2009 There have been many ongoing abuses to the to the Concierge & Diamond lounge perks in the past fleet wide, all due to overcrowding by people who don’t belong in there and gaining access due to the lack of checking guests at the door. Due to the overcrowding issue Diamond members are no longer allowed in the Concierge lounge on ships with a Diamond lounge. Over the past few months RCL has made sure someone was at the door checking seapasses to the D lounge and the answer is simple if you are not D or D+ you are not allowed in. Some may not agree but I think it is about time they enforce the policy rather than lose the perk all together. If you want your friends to have access let them do like you and the rest of us D & D+ did EARN IT! Ron :)

gadaboutgal Posted December 27, 2009 #30 Share Posted December 27, 2009 Whoa-hold on there. To legitimately get into ALL the lounges (Diamond and Concierge) you still have to be a Diamond Plus with RCL- (happily,we've been fortunate enough to reach that level. :D)

gadaboutgal Posted December 27, 2009 #32 Share Posted December 27, 2009 Yep, Diamond+ gets all of that with the exceptionn of the roped off areas--but then who wants to be on display in an area that may not be ideal. However, if you keep sailing with RCL you may eventually get the Diamond max discount off your balcony/suite. Happy sailing!
