I stayed at the Ren in Dec pre cruise and will again in April pre cruise. Had dinner at the Bimini Boatyard http://www.biminiboatyard.com/

and it was very good food, with very good service, and not very expensive:p. It's across the parking lot from the Ren.

There is a Starbucks a few blocks west on 17th St. There might be an Einsteins bagel or Dunkin Donuts but I'm not sure. There is a new york jewish deli that has bagels in the shopping center by Office Depot (Southport?) a few blocks west of the hotel.

I would recommend Giorgio's for dinner, it is in the same plaza as the Einstein's bagels. Definitely walking distance from either, though the Renaissance is closer.

I tried Bravo this past December and would recommend it. Reasonably priced, and the garlic rolls are to die for!
