I have never seen carnival drop the price on the cruise I am going on in March. Do they always drop and if so when? Or is it just a crap shoot?

It's a crap shoot. Prices are subject to change...up or down depending on the demand of the sailing. And if you're going in March, is it a heavy Spring Break period? I'd say rates are probably going to continue climbing if that's the case...

Book your cruise, and let the chips fall as they will. Enjoy your purchase price if the prices go up or call in if they fall, either way you win.

In 15 cruises since 2000 only one cruise has ever come down in price for us.

 

I agree -with a spring break cruise--that will sell out- dont hold your breath for a price beak

We have had a price drop on almost all of our cruises, BUT they are usually because we are over 55.

 

As someone stated: book what you are comfortable with, and hope for a price drop, but don't count on one.

I think most price drops would be at less popular times to travel. Sept/Oct. Maybe mid January. Definitely not spring-break times (really all spring - spring breaks vary by school district), or summer vacation times, or holidays.
