Courtyard by Marriott - South Beach Washington Ave

Has anyone stayed here recently:confused:

I have been reading some no so favorable reviews on TripAdvisor lately and am curious:eek:

Also, a good place to eat a casual dinner nearby.

I booked through Priceline, so I am stuck with it, but am a little worried.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It is a great hotel in a perfect South Beach location with a fabulous rooftop pool.

I cannot imagine what the bad trip advisor reviews are about. Personally I think TA blows.

BlueHerons,

Thanks so much for your input. I was hoping that you would reply as I left a previous post for you earlier you may have not seen:D:D

I was just getting nervous because the last place we stayed in PC was not so appealing.:eek:

OK, since you offered:D:D

How long will it take us to get to the pier from here?

Looking for a casual inexpensive place for dinner, any recommendations?

Place to purchase beer n liquor near by?

Thanks so much BH, greatly appreciate it;)

I sound like a broken record but Puerto Sagua is inexpensive and excellent. It is a Cuban diner with some Spanish dishes thrown in.

I also like Davids on Meridian and Lincoln Road Mall and Tap Tap for Haitian.

Sorry, I still missed a couple of your questions.

It is about a 20 minute cab ride to the pier from your hotel location.

You can buy beer and wine at Walgreens or CVS and they are everywhere. I don't know when Walgreens started carrying beer and wine but when I was in there last week they had it.

As far as liquor stores, I think there is one on Lincoln Road Mall but I cannot remember.

BH, so funny you should post this. Was watching "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" last night and where did Guy go...Tap Tap for Haitian food. It appeared to be one of those nights where all the restaurant names had something in common...Tap Tap, Nico Nico's and Pok Pok.

Food looked great and the chef was lovely.
