Wi-Fi and costs

Somehow we planned a cruise during a mini mester when i will be taking a online class. If i bring my laptiop can i reach wi fi from the cabin and how much does it usually costs? i will be on spirit to alaska in may.

You can get wifi in your cabin.

There's a one time $3.95 account set up fee and a per minute charge of $.75/minute without a plan. You can purchase a block of 100 minutes for $55 or 250 minutes for $100.

The connection is slow so try connecting in the early morning or late in the evening when there are fewer users logged on.

If you can wait until you get to a port, you can usually find an internet connection nearby, for a tiny fraction of the cost and with a lot more speed.

 

Consider downloading everything you can just before you leave or right after you get back.

 

It really stinks to have to work or study while on a cruise!

I would try to get as much of the assignment completed off line and cut and paste it from a word document if possible. This way you are not on line as much. My BF did this during our cruise this past summer.
