ecowen Posted April 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Just booked a cruise on Zenith (9/25/04) to Bermuda, and I noticed that every inside cabin is already booked. I find this unusual because there are plenty of inside cabins on the prior and following cruises, same itinerary. What do you supposed this means? Should I take this as a sign that a large group is travelling together on this cruise? Maybe Celebrity offered a special rate for inside cabins on this cruise only? A coincidence? Just one of those things that makes me go "hmmm. . ."
gardencat Posted April 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2004 A similar thing happened when we booked a sky suite on the Oct 2 sailing of the Century. At that time only one ss seemed to be available but the cruises before and after had more. Now I've noticed more sky suites seem to be showing as available on our cruise too. I too wonder what is going on.
Sheffie Posted April 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2004 I just checked on Expedia and they show inside cabins available. Maybe a glitch in the computers where you were looking? ecowen Posted April 14, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Check again. Expedia shows "sold out" under insides for the 9/25/04 Zenith to Bermuda. Maybe you were looking at Horizon, which leaves on the same day? I verified with several web sites and my T/A--there are no inside cabins available on this cruise. Rickster Posted April 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Hi Ed. I have been reading your NYC advice on another post. I have a few questions for you regarding your fair city. Jill and nine of her closest friends are visiting soon. How is the Wellington Hotel? What are great spots for lunch that are nearby? Shopping? Century 21 sounds great. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Give our best to John. Regards, Rick & Jill.

Longboysfan Posted April 15, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 15, 2004 The inside cabins are the lowest priced to Bermuda. Which Celebrity - and for that matter - all lines advertise. And when you get to it on the Zenith and Horizon. There are not a lot of changes between the cabins on each floor. The line also sells out the other outside cabins by moving the people on the inside to the outside by offering gurantees - in the for of upgrades and slightly lower prices. The Bermuda runs is one of the most popular runs the line has. Also a cruise agency - big one - could per book a block of inside cabins and hold them for a few months. Only giving them back about six weeks or so before the actual departure date. Keeping their high priced inside cabins for their clients and letting the line sell the rest. Next - Millennium - The wait begins anew.
