Aft Junior Suites on the Enchantment

We are looking at a cruise next year on the Enchantment of the Seas. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the aft junior suites? I realize the balconies are huge, but is the view blocked? Also, the room looks shorter and wider than the other junior suites. Is the layout different?

We've had an aft JS both times we sailed on Enchantment..we Loved them!! The last time our balcony had 2 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs, 1 sm round table & 1 med size sq table..we were on deck 8 both times..the first time we never heard a peep from anywhere..the last time we got a little bit of noise from the spotlight lounge down on deck 6..nothing bad & I think it was over by 10-11 pm...no obstructions at all..and the walk back really isn't bad at all.

DH and I had aft JS on Enchantment last September. Feel room was same size, perhaps even a little longer than other JS. We were on deck 7, and did 'enjoy' the sounds coming from the lounge below. Had to call down one night because booming bass woke us at 2am. It was a crew party. They quieted down right away. Other than that, the location was great. Balcony was huge, with 2 lounge chairs and two regular chairs and a small table. There were no obstructions at all, but there was a bit of an overhang, so was not full sun all the time, other times was really hot - great place to sun! And a great place to find some quiet. Enjoy!

Just had the aft corner on Deck 7 in November. Wonderful room- 3 grown women fit fine. Balcony was enormous- overhang was a blessing because Hurricane Ida also went on the cruise with us. We were able to sit on the balcony under cover. For the 4 hours of sun that we did get at the beginning of the cruise, we also sat in the open part. Never heard the lounge- may have been because of the crashing of the waves, though! One teeny drawback- family suite right above and when it wasn't raining there were quite a few people on their balcony most of the time. Loved that room- loved the location.

We had #7666 aft JS on Enchantment last May, and have it booked again for this April. The cabin definitely seemed smaller than JS on Voyager and Radiance class, but the balcony was huge and we loved it.

Ive got 7166 on the 4/11 Repo back to FLL. Ive read that the Lounge can be loud until 11-12. Thats ok, cuz we are usually in the casino until then anyway. Its nice to hear that the balcony has plenty of room for our friends to sit and hang with us. So, are you saying there is some shade out there due to the Overhang. I hope so...I dont mind the sun. but not for hours at a time like my wife.

We had some overhang shade on 7666. And we found the music situation to be the same....we never heard it, but like you, are usually in the casino or somewhere else until at least midnight.

  • 3 months later...

Not working, can't stop looking at pictures of cruises and I am not even cruising until October. But yesterday I changed my room to 7666, only because I heard the corner aft JS has more room on the balcony then any other. Since this will be the first time (in a long time) that my husband and I have went on a cruise without children, I figure we will use the balcony often. I hope we have pretty sunrises and sunsets. cannot wait for October to get here!!!!

The view is not block like on Voyager & Freedom class ships - there is no superstructure if that's what you mean. The corner aft balconies are huge. I have a few shots of Grandeur from previous cruises to give you some idea.
