My fiance and I are looking at an 8 day cruise on the Freedom next December for our honeymoon. I've never sailed over the holidays and was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect. I would assume the ship is decorated beautifully...

 

Any feedback from anyone who did the 8 day Eastern Caribbean?

 

Does Carnival do anything special for honeymooners?

They dont do anything special unless you arrange a cake or something they may sing... you should check out to see if you have a roll call..

Yes, the ships are nicely decorated. (lights, holly, tree in atrium) Free champagne on Christmas/NYE. Christmas dinner. Santa. (don't think this would interest you on your honeymoon!) Holiday music in dining room/halls. The ships are usually filled with families/extended families, though we have seen quite a few newlyweds on board! Freedom is a great ship - I am sure you won't be disappointed.
